Hi tt,

The assessors have been known to turn up late, early or not at all!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi
I had a 9.00 to 11.00 time slot and she arrived at 9.02 and left at 10.05. This suited me fine as I hate waiting for people to come.

Hi,

The assessor arrived at 0845 on Friday and left at 1025.

She advised us that her former career was as a mental health nurse and she did not have a laptop but rather a ledger type book with preprepared questions based upon my submission on the PiP2. She wrote my answers as we went along and was very pleasant..

It was not a particularly good day for me and I had to use home oxygen for a while so she asked my wife what care she gave. Anyway we completed the formal part and then invited her to see the adaptions in our bungalow to which she replied that she did not have to see them.
However, We thought that if they were the last thing she saw it might just reinforce our submission.

Currently I get high mobility and she advised that I should have applied for care long ago and for this area decisions are taking eight to twelve weeks. Now we wait.

Requested my medical assessment report yesterday 10/10/2016.
Was advised of the following:

Request entered on their system.

If the report was a factual report then I could expect to receive it within 5 to 16 working days.
However if the assessor had included opinions on what the scores should be then it would be in abeyance until the decision letter was sent out. Then it would sent out a further 3 working days afterwards.

This could be 8 to 12 weeks and the last day is 23/12/2016.
Hope it is a pleasant christmas.

Regards,
Stewart.

Today, I received the award letter of enhanced for both for a period of five years.
I got 17 points for daily living and 12 points for mobility. I am very happy with that as I got more than I scored when using your self-scoring quiz.

The PiP guide was my bible coupled with the online support here really made a difference to my submission. Thank you all for this help.

Kind regards,

Stewart
