We have seen assessors and the DWP try to suggest that using Facebook or other social media applications counts as the claimant having social interaction, the suggestion is tenuous at best, there can also be assumptions about your use of a computer.

Seems like they are trying to trip people rather than give them a fair assessment

"You also need to know that the decision maker may reduce your points score by suggesting aids or appliances you could use instead of getting help. Being aware in advance what aids or appliances might be suggested allows you to give accurate evidence about whether they genuinely would make a difference."

Having just read this I fell a little confused. Is this saying that if you use an aid but fail to mention it in the form you will lose points? Where in the guide does it mention what aids the HP may suggest?

If a claimant states that they cannot manage a task, or cannot do it without help, the assessor might decide that the task could be accomplished using appropriate aids. It is preferable to deal with this from the start rather than trying to fight a rearguard action later!

The aids/appliances that might be suggested depend upon the activity and the limitations of the claimant, it would not be possible to list them all.

Is 2 full pages of a4 as well as the space provided too long an answer for 1 question?

There's no right or wrong amount of information to provide, but once you have answered all of the questions, I would go back through your answer to see whether you can explain your issues using fewer words, we all tend to ramble when we are thinking and writing/typing and a second view can often make us think of simpler ways of expressing things.
