Hi
A response arrived 2 hours after a resend

Hello Sally-Jane

The DWP haven’t referred you back to us at this time. Once they do, you will receive another ESA50 to complete.

So I shall contact DWP and see when theu think they will do so

Yes, you can do this if you wish. It will not trigger a reassessment or cause you any other problem.

Hi,

I contacted them again after I emailed you to ask them if I should contact the DWP.

The very kind lady emailed me back again within an hour, the following response.
I must admit they seem very kind, helpful and prompt.

Dear Sally-Jane

I would simply wait to see if you receive an ESA50. The DWP telephone number is an 0345 number and it can be quite stressful trying to get to speak to an agent.

Don’t hesitate to email us if and when you receive an ESA50 if we can help in any way

regards
xx

Very pleasant dealings with this web site and people.

Hi,

With the latest info (the last day or so) on the new changes with ESA and re assessments.Do you think it is likely, as some have mentioned that some ESA re assessments may already not be taking place or indeed will so.

The email I received from chdauk said for me to wait to see if I receive an ESA form.
Makes me wonder if DWP have already started to think whether or not to send out ESA forms to some who are due now !! Or is this just wishful thinking.

Below is a transcript that I sent to chdauk, missing bits are the personal bits which are not relevant on this email

'Full name, address, nino dob, etc
My last ESA report was dated 16th Oct 2013, where I was placed in the Support Group for 3 years.
(Healthcare Professional's Name; xx - Registered Nurse)

Medical Support Form information (ESA85A)

Advice
I advise that the client meets SUPPORT GROUP criteria as they have severe functional disability.

Prognosis
I advise that work is unlikely in the long term

Justification of advice.
'The available evidence from the ESA 50, Med3, Previous Advice & Specialist letter has been used to give advice in this case.
The Med3, ESA50, & Medical evidence suggests due to spinal injury, the client cannot transfer from one seated position to another without assistance from another person. This suggests they have ltd capability for work & work related activity.
The evidence before me is consistent & an Occupational Therapy report confirms that the client is unable to transfer without the support from another person. She also meets the criteria for SG inclusion because of Urinary Incontinence, has been assessed by the Continence team & pads have been provided which do not always contain leakage.
The available evidence suggests improvement is unlikely in the longer term.'

I have not received an ESA 50 form to complete for 2016, and wondered when I am next to be assessed, hopefully it will not be deemed necessary to complete another form.

Please can you advise of the next time I am to receive a form to complete.

Further information for you is:

My DLA to PIP transfer was completed recently - 10th Feb 2016, and I was provided with the Enhanced Rate for both Daily living and Mobility for an Ongoing Period and the Assessor has written,' that Based on the evidence, I consider there to be no requirement to arrange a review of this claim as significant change is unlikely.
She requires high level assistance with her activities of daily living, & has severely reduced mobility. Her multiple medical conditions causing functional restrictions are chronic & her health is likely to gradually deteriorate over time.
Therefore a review is not recommended.

My husband and carer xxx has completed this email and suggests if you require to speak to him I, Mrs xxx have provided the permission for you to confer with him.
It would be easier to speak to him on his mobile if dialogue is required as he may well be at work and the temporary assistance of carers would not be suffice to speak to.

Mr xxx mobile number is xxxxx

Regards

Mrs xxx'
Am I clutching at straws or do you think it is likely I may well be lucky and not receive an ESA form soon!!!?

You will have to forgive me but all of the information regarding the proposed suspension of assessments for some members of the SG has been published, there is nothing more that we can tell members and I certainly don't think that the DWP have started to implement this in any way, there may be changes to legislation that are required.

I really don't understand what your intention in contacting Maximus is beyond finding out whether they have a current request to reassess your claim. If they don't which from a previous post appears to be the case then they cannot provide you with any more information as they do not retain anything more than basic claimant information between assessments.

The only route open to you now is to contact the DWP about when they intend to reassess you or leave it until you receive a new ESA50.

Hi,

Yep I suppose I shall have to see when the DWP intend to send me an ESA form, their last correspondence stated I would receive a form early September which has as yet not materialised, hence my concern.

Husband said leave well alone and wait for it to arrive. Anxiety way of the scales thus my rabid frantic scurrying around getting no where and only driving one and all mad with my antics. Apologies.
