Mary, I am now totally confused!

ESA is the benefit that provides an income replacement for people who cannot work because of illness or disability. The form for this is the ESA50.

ESA does not take into account the claimant's ability to look after themselves, this is totally irrelevant to the descriptors.

PIP is the benefit that gives a little money to help with the costs of long-term disability or illness. This looks at the claimant's ability to wash, dress, cook etc. The form for this is the PIP2.

There are mobility questions for both benefits.

You have mentioned elements of both benefits! Is it possible that you have recently applied/been reassessed for both? This would be done separately, one face2face does not cover both benefits

Is it possible that you have also been invited to claim PIP?
