If they have a mobile number for you then I believe you would receive a text confirming receipt, otherwise no, so I would give them a call just to check.

Hi was just wondering, my husband was given splints to wear yesterday due to RA in his hands. Probably a daft question but does this kind of thing go against you or will it gain him more points?

PIP in general treats aids in a positive fashion, unlike DLA which didn't but to score points you will need to show that the splints help him to complete PIP activities that otherwise he would not be able to complete otherwise.

See the PIP Claim guide for more information about aids and appliances.

Hubby has received his assessment date this morning. He is having a home visit in two weeks time. We are slightly anxious as hearing too many horror stories, but also a little bit of relief as been waiting for this, now just want to get it over and done with.

Getting quite nervous now about hubbys assessment next week. We are unsure about what if they ask him about following a familiar journey. He doesn't go out much, and most of the time someone is with him, because he suffers with dizziness and because of the pain in his kness they always feel like they are going to give way. He has fallen because of this and also he has anxiety because his last heart attack was outside. Is this relevant to this question? Heard so many stories, just don't want to say the wrong thing and it get twisted.
