Will it go against him as they could see it because hes having a procedure he will be ok, which is not the case.
You don't need to mention something that has not happened yet, but I think it reasonable to assume that this operation will provide some improvement to your husband's situation, otherwise why would they being doing it.
That does not mean that the improvement would be relevant to any of the PIP activities, but if it is then you need to inform the DWP about them.

Yes, you are right. Tell the truth and hope for the best (not that is should come down to 'hoping' or 'luck' )
Don't forget that your husband can choose in which room the assessment takes place and who is with him. He doesn't need to dress or even get out of bed if he doesn't want to!
The assessor has no more rights than anyone else who comes to your home. They do not have the right to 'snoop' around your house - nor have we ever heard of anyone asking to do so.
Decisions have been taking up to 8 weeks following the assessment but they do seem to have speeded up a little recently.

Realised there is no right way or wrong way to go through this just going to be truthful and say it how it is, and what will be will be. And take it from there.
Hi fc , have been following your posts and completely understand your stress as I have been in same position of changing over from DLA to PIP .
My husband received a telephone call yesterday from ATOS , I was having a much needed drug induced nap as I have not slept in weeks due to pain . A man from ATOS asked that I telephone him as soon as possible . I am assuming this is to arrange an assessment with a Health Professional .. but have not heard of anyone else getting a telephone call !
I really do hope everything goes well for you and your husband with regards to the PIP claim and his assessment, do keep us posted as to the outcome .
