Thanks Gordon, I will try to do this. I would have thought that when they sent me the letter regarding hearing being adjourned, they would have received my letter dated 6 September.
When I initially sent them my grounds for appeal, they replied after weeks to say it has been received so maybe they do receive it late (as in go through it in their own time)

Alison, thanks for your message. It does sound like a very stressful process and a very long one too! I can't believe it's gone on that long. There should definitely be exceptions for people whose agoraphobia and mobility are too bad to physically go in. Has your telephone oral hearing been accepted though?
All the best and please keep me posted x

I just wondered, from reading other posts it seems that during the process of PIP appeals, their ESA is also being questioned. My PIP bundle from DWP also included paperwork for my ESA, which I had found odd, but is this why DWP are doing this? Are people in the support group also affected?
Any advice you can give would be handy because this money is all we rely on as my husband had to leave his job due to my health. Not sure what we could even do in that situation because I am definitely not well enough and need my husband at home always. So it's not like he would be able to work too. Has someone in the support group been removed from it during the PIP appeals process?
Thanks

Although many people are getting forms for reassessment for both benefits in quick succession at the moment, we have never seen a PIP assessment used as ammunition to reduce an ESA award.

Just to add to what Mrs H has said, by definition; a PIP appeal cannot result in a change to or removal of an ESA award. The panel can only consider the Decision appealed.
