Well, got the confirmation today that I've been placed into the Support Group again without a face to face. Happy with that.
However, no mention of how long for so called DWP today and was told it is until Sept 2017. Yes, just a year again. This is despite my GP support letter saying my condition is permenant and is unlikely to improve. I have an avoidant personality disorder.

So, whilst I should be grateful for this outcome. I still have to go through this for a third time in 10 months time. What is the purpose of that? Is it just to grind a person down.

Hi Dave,

I am very glad that you have been placed in the Support Group again! However, like you, I cannot see the point in putting you through repeated reassessments like this. Unfortunately, you cannot appeal the duration of the award.

Maybe your MP would like to hear how you are being treated!

Thank you for your kind words of advice. My letter to my local MP is now in his inbox, so we will see what happens.

Thanks to the guides and the helpful team at B&W for the invaluable support again. My subscription had just been renewed.

I have just received my ESA Reassessment award letter and I am remaining in the Support Group. No date was in the letter and when I phoned I was told it will be until a October 2017 (12 months) when I will be sent another form for reassessment. My first assessment was for 3 years however my condition is the same and not likely to improve. I have asked for a copy of the medical report so I am prepared again for next year when no doubt my stress levels will be through the roof. I worked all my life from the age of 15 until 55 and I dread the thought of constant assessments. I am one of the 50's women who would have been entitled to a state pension at 60 before the change. I claim Contribution based ESA and PIP as my husband still works and not entitled to income based benefits. I also still have to pay for dental and optical treatments but luckily livein Scotland were prescriptions are free. I am just so disgusted with the system having worked and paid taxes all my life.

I am afraid it is quite variable, there are still delays in the assessment process dating back to 2014.
