Hello Miserable,
Have you come across N.A.P.A.C yet? National assoc of people abused in childhood: website & free helpline. You might have to try to phone a couple of times but the person is usually an experienced psychotherapist. They have talked me down from suicide & desperation a number of times. Clinical psychology is worse than useless where I live. Thanks to NAPAC I'm now seeing a specialist psychotherapist, I doubt I'll ever heal but sometimes I have moments of peace in my heart.
Like you I am finding being hounded by DWP triggering abuse issues you need & deserve support with.
DWP must take into account the effect of medications on your ability to carry out the activities & you can verify this from your medical records, i.e too sleepy & woozy to cook safely etc.

If you can make it to the library or get someone to help there's a 'Well Read' section of books to borrow. Staff don't appear to care what you are borrowing. These books have really helped me:
Ainscough & Toon. Breaking Free
Pete Walker. Complex PTSD From surviving to thriving (an eyeopener: fantastic. Its about abuse)
Babette Rothschild 8 keys to safe trauma recovery.
All best wishes

Hi susie
Thank you, I hadn't heard of them before.
My local crisis team told me that psychotherapy has been "discontinued"
She told me because I kept mentioning it, I don't understand why the hospital I was sectioned at didn't tell me this.
So all that is available is the psychiatrist and psychology.
I'm not getting my hopes up with getting pip, I didn't get dla before, I was on esa sg though. I am hoping I'll be put on that again.
I wish all of this didn't bring me down, it's so hard fighting to get help, not just benefits, but mentally too.
I've suffered for so long and I've been crying out for help and now finally after all these years I had a complete breakdown and ended up sectioned, I've had to hit complete rock bottom to get the help started that I so desperately need! :(
Thank you again and I'm sorry for everything you've had to go through! X

Hi
I am just wondering if I should have heard anything back from esa yet about a f2f, I was awarded esa from the 31st August and have been sending in fit notes and my form had to be back by the 18th October, it was a couple of days late due to me being sectioned, my named nurse on the ward filled in the part about sending it in late and gave me another letter asking if I could have a home visit due to my issues with going out etc.
I haven't received any letters at all apart from telling me my fit notes are about to run out.
Thank you.

Hi I am so stressed right now!!

I have just received a letter telling me that my doctors surgery is closing in January!!

I have finally got a Dr that helps me so much and he always remembers everything we have spoken about and makes my new appointment himself on the computer whilst I am with him.

I am terrified of having to find a new Dr! Also worried that this is perhaps going to cause me issues with my benefits, I haven't had any medicals for esa or pip yet, if they decide to get in touch with my Dr but it's the new one I have no idea what they are going to say :(

It takes me so long to trust people and now I am going to have to do it all over again, but the choice of the other surgery is terrible, 4-6 weeks before you can get an appointment and that's going to be much worse because of all the patients from my surgery joining!

Sorry for ranting but I am so nervous now :(

I just called maximus to see when my f2f would be and he said that they made a decision not to give me a f2f!!

He said it's good news and that they had sent their report to the decision makers.

I should hear back by the 15th of December, I don't know if I should get my hopes up of being awarded esa because he said it's good news??

I never had this before, I had to have a f2f last time.
