hi gordon , mrs h,.
after a succesfull appeal ,i was awarded standard daily living and standard mobility for 3yrs,,, just wanted to ask ,, how long approx does it take to hear from the dwp ,, the judge said the paperwork were being sent that day of tribunal,. i have a copy so was just wondering as i have read in previous post on the forum that you can actualy send them a copy as well,,..also ,regarding them having a month to disagree with the tribunals decision ,should i expect not to hear from them until that timescale is up .

It normally takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result, you might want to make sure that they have received a copy of the Decision Notice as they regularly lose them.
You will hear from the Tribunal Service if they have applied for a Statement of Reasons, the first stage to them appealing.

Well done, alison, and congratulations.
It's probably the hardest and most satisfying thing I've ever done, to represent myself at the Tribunal and fight the DWP.

hi gordon,.
was wondering if you know anything about the severe disability payment ,,ime on esa support group,, and was awarded standard on both daily and mobility pip,. i have 1 dependant child whos 14 and my non dependant son who is 20 and living with me is also on the support group esa,. ive tried looking up for info about the severe payment ,but it says you can only get it if you live on your own ,, also noone claims carers allowance for me either ,, is there anything i could be entitled to ? as my son isnt able to claim carers for me as he suffers mental health issues himself and is unable to work ,., any advice would be great ,

To be considered as living alone your adult son would need to be receiving either DLA MRC or HRC or a PIP Daily Living award, ESA SG does not count towards this.

aww thankyou ,, yes totaly agree with you ,, it been very tough building up a case for myself with no outside support ,,but its been worth all the stress and worry as i was determined to have my say and fight my corner ,, i realy hope that others going through the same find the strength and willpower to win and get what they should be entitled to and show the dwp that we wont take there word for it and stand up for our rights,..
