Hi I have a quick question regarding the PIP transfer process. I am going to make my initial call to DWP this week but the research I have done regarding the initial call "Do you want us to take into consideration your last DLA application form"? Im not sure if I should answer with a Yes or NO?. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Mikeyboy,

If the information on your previous DLA forms is still relevant and up to date then there is no reason to say 'No'. If that information paints a picture that is now out of date, you would be better to decline.

Whatever you say, we still recommend that you submit any information that you want to be taken into account as it is possible that DWP do not actually have details of your DLA claim if it was made some time ago.

Thank you so much Mrs Hurtyback for your quick response. I really dont know what I would do without the kind help from yourself, the other mods and forum members on this site. I intend to post my PIP journey so all members can follow my progress. And so it begins thanks again kind regards

I did not get asked about previous DLA form, but was asked on telephone during initial application process wh there they could use the info for future ESA reviews. I said yes because I was tired and caught off guard, hope the fact that my award has been cut does not mean I will be moved from ESA support group.......

They won't have asked if they could use it for a future ESA assessment, only your PIP. DLA and ESA have different criteria and the report is old, so there is no reason to assume it will have any impact on your ESA.
