If it is only a couple of days to the hearing the it is too late to make submission if you have not already done so.

Don't fixate too much on the report, if it as bad as you say then the panel will realise this.

You need to concentrate on the reasons you should score the points you need for an award, make a short checklist of the things you want to raise at the appeal and tick them off as the panel ask you questions, you will have an opportunity to raise any left at the end of the hearing.

Other than that, try not to stress too much about the hearing, I remember my first hearing; I had a cunning plan of all the things I was going to do in the hearing, it lasted about two minutes, so make sure you are familiar with all of the papers and then watch a good movie.
