I think you are looking at the sample guides.

Our Guides for ESA, PIP and DLA, claims, appeals, and related subjects are available from the Members Only Guides link in the sidebar on the left of the page. Select the topic you are interested in from the new page that opens.

You can also access the ESA guides from the following link

Hi Gordon,
Thank you for that. Can I also ask, concerning ESA f2f. Will the assessor touch my husband physically, during his assessment? If so in what way? And can I take further evidence with us to the aassessment and ask for it to be included in his file, as I did with his PIP f2f?

Many Thanks
Lauren

They usually do a basic physical examination that looks at arm and leg movement and strength in the hands, any holding will be outside the clothing or holding the hands. Your husband can refuse any or all of the tests if they would cause him pain or distress but he must explain why he is refusing.

You can take further information to the assessment, the assessor is required to read it and include it in his file when it is returned to the DWP, stress that the information is a copy so it can be included immediately.

Hi,
Thank you so much for all yoir help, very much appreciated. I have a question on behalf of someone else. Is it correct that if you phone to cancel a ESA f2f assessment, you do not have to give a reason? And if that is correct and they ask you why, can you say that you woukd rather not disclose the reason? Or would that be frowned upon?
Many thanks

I think their computer system may require a reason for the cancellation so I would recommend saying that it is not convenient to avoid further questions.
