Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

We believe that is happening in some areas, but there has been no official confirmation.

Hi,
It seems so strange that some have their ESA and PIP re assessments suspended/ on
hold/ or not heard from DWP for quite a while, yet others, myself included, all assessments occur on time, before or just a shade late, and have to jump through all the hoops.
I can understand an occasional deferment with some, but many a time as listed from people, so many manage to get a good long time between assessments, whereas others are jumped on for assessments on a regular basis. Many of these are ones that fit the criteria in all places and in fact are easily targeted and thus are easy for the assessor to make money but have no heart, as we feel the pain with waiting for results on a too regular basis. Ie have a 3 year max prognosis for ESA, or and were on Indef DLA however have had to go thru the hoops for DLA - PIP, only to be told you should be ok for at least 10 yrs before a further re assessment.
Moan over, just seems unfair to us, whereas I know people who have had an ESA back in 2010 and have not heard a dickie bird since then, still receiving money and still on DLA, awaiting a move if fit the criteria to PIP. Lucky people, but still feels unfair.

PCM
Just to be clear, no PIP assessments have been deferred.

Hi,
thanks
I suppose I really meant those awaiting their DLA to PIP form completion.

I was supposed to be reassessed for ESA last October having been in the Support Group for many years with a prognosis that it's unlikely i'd return to work. And having been deferred for two years back in 2015.
As i've heard nothing can i assume i've been deferred again albeit for an indeterminate time?.I don't want to tempt fate by calling the DWP because i've read from a couple of posters here that that's triggered off the sending of the dreaded ESA50.

OK ,as my last question didn't warrant a reply i'd like to reword it.
Am i right in thinking that ESA50's are been sent out on time but there're long delays in some places in getting an assessment date ? Therefore if i haven't heard anything when my claim was meant to be reviewed the probability is that it's been deferred again albeit for an indeterminate period ?
I'm sorry if this is a variation of questions which have already been asked and answered but i don't want to tempt fate by calling the DWP given the process makes me seriously ill. So i was hoping whether someone could tell me whether or not a deferrment has usually taken place when an ESA50 isn't sent out around its review date.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
