Thought I'd post an update...

I missed my appointment at the assessment centre and with the help of the PIP team (DWP) was given a home assessment.

I've now had that assessment and it went better than I thought it would. The assessor was sympathetic, engaged and seemed to understand, she even let me off the physical exam as she could see how much I was suffering just from the chat. Thinking back there was a lot more I could've added so whether the report will be any good I don't know but I did the best I could and managed to talk about the different aspects of each activity, thanks to preparing myself beforehand using the 'questions you could be asked' section of the guide.

Thank you for all your help so far. I'll come back with the result.

You can request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

PIP Decisions are taking 2-4 weeks at the moment.
