Ok Gordon thanks for your help, was thinking the past hour if I phone them up and tried to explain the situation of the stressful incidents as pointed out by the consultant would they not have another look at it and see if they can do it by paper making their mind up on it.Just seems to me a complete waste of time writing and writing on forms and the likes, and for what for a HP to come out and ask the same questions...wish I had my health and away working everday as I use to as I had no hassle from anybody and got my pay.

It's certainly worth your while trying to find out what information might make them switch to an PBR, you can also try applying additional pressure by involving your MP.

Contacting your MP

They will have looked at your form and papers in order to decide that a home assessment is justified.

OK Gordon I may go down that path,if I where to phone them would you recommend me phoning the place where I had to phone for the PIP1 as she said if I had any quires throughout the process to phone and qoute a ref number she gave me.Or is it out of their hands now and into c/tia.
Does all forms in the UK be scanned and then sent over computer to Capita,Darlington and do they in turn send it to the regional areas once Darlington has made a decision?
I feel I fit into the areas where a paper assessment could be done as I looked through the guide book on this site and I feel I fit into it because of the stress and a recent suspected stroke.

You need to contact Capita, the DWP are not involved in the assessment process unless there is a failure to attend.

All PIP forms and anything attached are scanned by the DWP when they are received, I'm afraid it's not clear whether a paper or electronic copy is sent to the Assessment Provider.

Again it's not clear whether the claimants file is sent to a central office or directly to the regional one but at some point a decision was made that a face to face was required.

Yes thank you Gordon for that info. If I phone them would it be in order for me to state my details and ask them could they check their records to see if they received all of my papers and drs letters and for me to point out that I am not to be involved in stressful situations (which this) and ask them to look at this by means of a paper case.
Would that be in order/or should I ask to cancel the appt and try and get a letter from my GP to support me in asking for a paper claim.Thank you

There's no harm in your ringing and asking about the information that they have received.

I would not cancel the current appointment unless it is in the next couple of days, you can only do this once before they will class you as not attending and return your file to the DWP.
