Good Morning,

ok, it's been several weeks now since the pip 1043 form was filled in and sent back using guaranteed royal mail next day tracked delivery and they got it next day as I checked it online.

Had No reply from them (DWP) yet, I know usually in some circumstance no news is good news but I have read on this forum that some people get replies with a great amazing result within a week and some people are similar to me or rather the disabled ill person who is stressed to the eyeballs waiting every single day on the very worst news, so I just keep saying keep calm no news is good news, he has stopped eating now for weeks and everything because of this and nothing I do can force him to eat, he's falling away to a shadow again like what happend before in 2016 when he ended in hospital for nearly a month for all the exact same reasons except for in early 2016 he wasn't waiting on word back from the DWP regarding pip, he was just ill and not eating plus all his other mental and physical health problems added.

I have seen people so worried on here they ask if they should call and see whats happening, but I don't see the point to that unless the persons money was suddenly stopped with no notification at all.

It's starting to get to me too, stressing me out too, but as I say, I am a firm believer in no news is good news (fingers crossed and touch wood for luck) and I am against calling them unless it's a beneficial idea to the person who is ill.

Is this all just common procedure or does the longer it go mean that there is a high chance of losing something ?? It's still less than a year since the person got the full award up and running (being awarded full PIP) maybe the person will be forced again to have another ruthless 2 hour grilling face to face ?? He is terrified beyond imagination.

Sorry if I sound harrased but I am because I am really worried with all the stories going round that this person may face the worst and I know within myself he couldn't cope with it, not again and not in that short time scale, he's on the verges of doing himself in just now because he keeps thinking about it, doctors etc aren't interested in these things either, all the health workers that visit and everything, he keeps telling them he just feels like topping himself, he has self harmed before and has attempted to take his own life too before, they all know this but are not in the slightest interested, they don't even note that on record unless they do when they go back to the office, I have no idea, but I am witness to all that's said etc.

It's a bloomin shame, shame on the Tory Evil Government !!!

It's terrible, it's cruel, it's disgusting and a horrible way to treat any human being.

The claim is sitting in a pile with others waiting for someone to look at it, so the length of time that you have to wait is in no way a refection of any Decision that might be made. Assessment time have gone from 2-4 weeks only a couple of months ago to 12-16 weeks at moment.

Although you will read lots of horror stories on the forum, it's important that you put these in context, even if you add up all of the negative posts on here and other forums they actually represent a small proportion of the total number of people being assessed at any particular time. So whilst it doesn't always seem like it, the vast majority of claims are assessed professionally and the person receives the award that they are entitled to.

I've asked the site owner to confirm whether this facility is available or not and will update this topic when I have a reply.

Thanks Gordon, hopefully it is possible, on 99.999% of Forums you can change a setting in your options/settings that allow you to get an email alert when someone replies in a thread you started or have even commented on, plus things like if someone mentions your username etc too in another thread.

So it's very uncommon if this can't be done on here, it's a very simple thing for the forum software provider to add or adjust, I know because I used to run a few forums of my own for different things years ago.

Let me know a.s.a.p , thanks Gordon.

I'm told it is working, but I haven't tested it for myself.

You need your email address to be correctly set up in your profile, click on your forum name and then preferences.

Then you need to subscribe to the topic, there's a button to do this above the posts or a tick box when you reply.
