Hi Gordon, I have received a letter saying I have a home visit this week, so was just wondering if I am able to have my pip form to hand in case I forget to give a full detail of how my illnesses affect me thoroughout the day and night as stated on my form. Many thanks

Yes it's OK but if you do refer to the form then explain why you are having to do so.

Hi Gordon, I had my face to face home assessment today at 9:15am but nobody turned up. My friend rang capita who then tried to ring the assessor, to be told that their phone is switched off and to ring back tomorrow morning so they can tell me the reason why they didn't turn up? We then rang dwp to advise them and they said it wasn't on and would put a note on their system. I also told them that I have since seen a neurologist who thinks I have ms, so I need to go for a MRI brain scan and lumber puncture next month. Dwp said they would update their records and again apologised for the assessor not turning up. I had worked myself up and worried that I now have to go through it all again. Just wondering if this happens a lot, thanks

Much more than it should. It was a good idea for you to contact the DWP about the assessor not turning up.

Update
Spoke to Capita today only to be told that the assessor is saying she arrived on time and knocked my front door a number of times and waited 15 minutes before leaving. Was also told that she tried to ring my house phone twice and couldn't leave a message.
I advised Capita that nobody knocked my door or rang my house phone as I got an answer phone machine. I also said that my friend rang Capita at 9:45am to be told that the assessors phone has been switched off, and then rang dwp to advise them of the situation. I was advised by Capita today that they will investigate the situation and either they will ring me with a new appointment or send my claim form back to dwp.
I rang dwp straight after I put the phone down to capita to advice them again what has happened, and said my friend is putting a statement in as she took the day off work and was at my property from 8:30am and nobody rang the house phone or knocked the door when she was there. Dwp advised that if my claim form comes back to them it will all be on the system so the decision maker can take another look. My friend posted her statement today first class recorded delivery to dwp. I am worried and angry right now as the assessor is lieing and it's just something else I have to deal with. Has anyone else had an experience like this and if so what was the outcome. Many thanks
