Hi All
Had my f2f yesterday in birmingham not sure how it went, it seemed to go well but you can never tell with these things they make you feel at ease but when you leave the room they probably stab you in the back and write a cr*ppy report, but we will see. I was told I could be waiting upto 8 weeks for a decission maybe longer as they are running behind.

When I got called through by my assessor she said to me that she was a trainee and would I mind if some1 else sat in as she was being assessed herself, with that I felt obliged to say yes, when we got in the room there was a chat sitting there she introduced him and then herself and then we sat to begin, she went through telling me what we would be doing and that it would last about 45 mins. (considering these f2f are supposedly to collect more info she basically went through the form that I had already filled in) so she got more or less the same answers that I had already wrote down in the form filling stage.
I could not see the screen and what she was writing and she didn't read through what she had wrote, like it said they would in the letter, also the chap who was supposedly assessing her, where he was sat I could see him in my peripheral view and he never took his eyes off of me watching every move I made. even my daughter when we came out made the same comment.
At the end which did take bang on 45 mins she walked us back to the reception and he came out behind us again watching every move no doubt.
I was on high rate mobility and medium rate care - indefinitely for last 12 years now.
I would just like to thank every1 that has posted on this site and all the help and info you have supplied which I have spent a awhile reading through.
So now I guess it's just a nervous waiting game to see what happens.
I will post as soon as I know the outcome, thx again.
Best Regards
Badger

Give it a couple of days and you should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

PIP Decision are taking about 2-4 weeks at the moment although holidays may delay this slightly.

Hi Gordon

I had a phone call today off of a chap calling on behalf of capita, he asked if I wouldn't mind answering some questions about how my assessment went, I just said not at the moment thank you and he replied with, thats ok it is voluntary and then went.
Is that normal ?

It is not common but we have heard of it before.

Last week we had our interview and they asked if a DWP representative could sit on the interview with Atos, I objected strongly, saying no as it would increase the pressure on my wife who was already stressed enough. He said ok, and went back into the room, then later 10 mins came out asked another person who agreed. My feeling was it was no accident and the DWP were sitting in on cases they found interesting or were they thought their was fraud. Not for accessing atos at all. My wife has lupus. The majority of the staff were black of Caribbean origin British born, trying to prove to their tory masters that they are loyal lap dogs, very sickening seeing their was signs not so long ago No Irish, No Blacks , No Dogs...
