Yes, it should be enough.

Hello...I'd begrateful for some advice please.

Just a brief recap....my f2f assessment is for this coming Friday at a centre. My GP wrote requesting a home assessment and it will be a week tomorrow since they received this plus my request for the f2f to be recorded(. As I didn't put my note linking this all together,Ii the posted it separately)

I'm thinking that if a letter doesn't arrive tomorrow confirming a home assessment ( or totherwise), i will need to ring them as time is short. I've already had my one change of appointment 'allowance for dates. Under the circumstances, please can you advise what's best to do/say?

thank you

Ring them tomorrow and chase the GP letter, the one thing you must not allow is the cancellation of the current appointment unless they are replacing it with a home assessment, nor should you give any indication that you will not attend on the Friday.

If they refuse a home assessment even with the letter then your only choice is to attend or you risk your claim being closed by the DWP.

Thank you Gordon......so do I ring & say I'm ringing about My GP's letter requesting a home assessmnet and the date it was received/signed for...(sorry i'm really rubbish at this....thinking clearly and trying to avoid the pitfalls)....how much do I have to say ? That I need to know the decision please as there's an exsisitng appointment on Friday or just ask if a descisions been made and then if necessary mention Friday? If they say we'll cancel the appointment on Friday, I guess I ask them to replace it there and then with a home assessment appointment....would that be the gist of it? If they say no to a home appointment, I then have to somehow attend on Friday as you advise. Can you spot anything else please...i've a tendency to blank , so might write it all down before iIring.

Thanks very much

Yes ask about the letter, I would not refer to the appointment on Friday.

If they say about cancelling the appointment on Friday then tell them you do not want it cancelled, the only way you should allow it to be changed is by them booking a home assessment.
