DLA to PIP ,Just started Change over was created by algy193
Hi I have just received a letter saying my DLA is about to end phone up to say if you want to Claim PIP with my details "Doctors, Bank, NI number etc which I have, So now waiting for form to fill out, Could take 2 weeks but Phone if not by 3 Weeks. Then I have until the date on the form to complete my medical evidence which to me sounds a nightmare as I am not an academic person Plus have many ongoing health issues. This might be easier if I just start with a few simple questions rather than it become to much to even think about, in fact it is the only way as I seem to have waffled on long enough without a question " it's called nerves due to what is happening in this dreaded Area me thinks.
1. When I get this questionnaire Form I then need to find medical evidence to prove Health Conditions to be true ...Can I get these from my GP or is it a case of getting my own records somehow. "What time limit is usually allowed.

2 When I have sent these Documents with the said PIP Form what is say an average time frame to be seen by a Health Professional as it takes an average of 6 weeks just to see my GP, and I believe the backlog for these interviews Can be as long as 10 weeks "I have no idea if this is true So a good answer to this one would help ..Also can I add more Medical evidence in this time as I do have a lot on going with different Health departments, Gastroenterologist, Diabetes and so on.

3. If you could please help me with this beginning to my PIP plight I would be more than grateful I feel so sorry for all the people who have been through and are going through this
Like I said if I start small and break this Change over down I can only feel better in myself ..Kind regards AGB

Hi AL,

I'm sorry that the axe has fallen for you :( I will try to answer your questions in order.

1) You will be given 4 weeks from the date on the PIP2 form in which to complete and return it. DWP are usually happy to give a 2 week extension on request (but you cannot ask until the form has arrived). If your GP will do a report for you, that will be great - but more and more are refusing to do this.

2) There are currently considerable delays in getting an assessment so you should have plenty of time in which to submit further information/evidence. It is better to do this than risk returning the form late.

3) The first place to start is with our PIP guide, then return to this topic if/when you have further questions.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Hi Thank you so much for getting back to me, The PIP2 arrive Saturday 12th August and I have to return by 3rd September So weekend wasn't great as even the first question made me feel ill and that is only about GP address and when approximately I last seen him ..I need to get a grip, Makes one feel that if that had been recently it's a Correct answer
I suffer anxiety so everything exaggerates but with PIP I think it could be understandable.
I have been doing some reading on site I'm gladly back with friends
Many thanks ...I shall make a start

Hi, I have made a start on the PIP form I am trying to answer each question on a one a day basis which is along day to answer just one question "I am talking all day here and it's making me ill on top of my illnesses" I have a Cognative problem but to me this isn't the problem I just can't seem to get to the point and make it sound correct, but that's just me being some what illiterate. Sorry for waffling on But my question is Can I take a copy of this form in with me at the face to face? as I would never remember what I have written down, Also is there a list of all the questions ask, "This is Very Important to me" it is completely different answering a verbal question than writing an answer isn't that why people have Barristers to speak for them I will struggle speaking for myself on what seems like a stacked deck anyway you see, My answers are honest but a good prosecution would rip me to bits, So I don't stand a chance as I said I even struggled with the first question and that was only GP's address it wasn't that but the part where it asks when roughly did you last see him which if it have been recently I'd have felt it was a correct answer " you can get an idea how my mind works by this I was worrying all day I'd answered the first question badly as it was 10 months back yet before that it was every 6 weeks for 12 months. ...Just as a reference it as taken me about an hour to write this, Please say there is a list of questions asked at Face to face, Iknow the first one is "do you have good and bad days" if the answers I am putting down are out to go by there is never a good day
Can you take a copy of the form in with you Please say yes No one seems to have suggested you definitely should if you Can to me it Paramount "On about an hour and 15 minutes now I am slow
Kind regards AGB

AL

Yes you can take a copy of your form with you, just make sure that if you do refer to it that you explain to the assessor why you are having to do so.

I was wondering I have a very well written explanation regarding one of my conditions Which was done at ESA interview By the Health Professional,
Would it be worth putting this document in Or would it be frowned up on so to speak because it's like saying thats telling the HP how to mark this Condition Which is an 8 pointer or would it be better to leave this out and maybe use it at appeal as I see after reading many posts so many fail and really any evidence is only reliant at the appeal be it a 12 Month wait
