Will the DWP tell me they have received my MR letter, I sent recorded delivery and now have the Online signed for, The DWP did tell me via text they had my PIP 2 form, Should they regarding my Appeal letter or not ?. What worries me is that the Lady on the phone DWP did say make sure you put NI number & name on everything as papers have been known to go missing ..Is there anyway I could know for sure they have actually been looked at, otherwise it’s fruitless

They may text you about the MR letter, but it appears to vary from office to office.

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by an appeal letter as something distinct from the letter you sent them about your MR.

As to whether they have looked at your papers, all you can do is trust that they will, there is no mechanism for confirming this.

Well had MR letter today nothing as changed. DWP sent 2 Copy’s one with a page missing. I did Phone up this morning to see if they had received my MR appeal letter of disagreement only to be told the outcome and a letter had been sent to me which is a very fast turnaround of just 3 days from it arriving at the DWP. It makes no difference really to the out come, So now what do I do, Should I ask the DWP for copys of everything I have sent to them? What do I need to read help wise my head is somewhat South at moment
Thank you Al

Don't be too disheartened, revision rates at MR are very low, the rate at appeal is significantly higher.

If you have now received a Mandatory Reconsideration Notice then the next stage is for you to appeal.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

Well I will try and keep it simple for now and ask some basic questions please just to get my own head clearer, What happens in a paper appeal if the Points stay the same, I take it any payments will be stopped until the appeal is reviewed, So if say nothing changes what will happen, is money lost or back dated. I only know if a higher rate is awarded this is back dated Or have I been misled.?

The MR. I forwarded as much information as possibe to challenge the Atos report. Regards appealing the DWP which stayed the same there is nothing else to offer, it was all ignored. Can I send the same to the appeal courts as really I have covered everything
Ty Gordon ..This is effecting my health & my mental state is far from good it would not be possible to wait 12 months and attend a tribunal the paper option is the only one open to me Gordon.

Any existing award will remain in payment, whether it is a Paper or Oral hearing.

The first thing you need to do is request the appeal, the DWP submission, which you will receive, will contain all of the papers from your original claim and your MR, you can then decide whether you need to provide any additional information.
