Move from contribution based ESA (sup group)to UC?

Hi, I am in the ESA support group, contributions based, although I haven't worked for 7 years. Universal Credit is being rolled out in my county. I was reading some information and it seems that you can get contribution based ESA/UC if you have paid contributions in the two years leading up to application. What I am wondering is, will this apply to everyone moving over or only to new applicants? Or will I, if they assess me as support group again, continue to get ESA/UC?
I know I won't be entitled to income based as my husband works, however, even with his wage we are struggling.

Unless you have reason to make a claim for one of the benefits that come under the UC banner then there is no reason why your ESA will be effected at this time. At some time in the future, it is at least several years away, existing ESA claimants will be transferred to ESA, based on how the Incapacity Benefit to ESA transfer was done, qualification for Contribution Based benefits was persevered during the transfer.

I have read that cont based ESA is one of the benefits not within UC, whereas income based is within it.

Whilst ESA(CB) is not one of the benefits being replaced by UC it still comes under the umbrella of UC with ESA(CB) being replaced by "New ESA" and the 2008 ESA Regulations replaced by the 2013 ones.

Just had a look at this 'new style' ESA and it seems as if it will go on similar to cont based is now, this is from the gov.uk site- www.gov.uk/guidance/new-style-employment-and-support-allowance

The differences between new style ESA and UC are:

new style ESA is paid to an individual, UC is a single household payment
new style ESA doesn’t take into account any savings you have
if you have a partner who is working, their earnings don’t affect your new style ESA payment
UC can include money for your rent or childcare costs, new style ESA doesn’t
new style ESA is paid fortnightly and UC is paid monthly
You may be eligible to get new style ESA if you start work. There are limits on the number of hours you can work and the amount you can earn, contact your work coach for more information.
