Tribunal decision, when PIP backpay was created by Aunts Fluffy
I received my result from the PIP tribunal dated 29th June, they awarded me enhanced care and mobility.
DWP were informed about this decision, but I haven't heard anything.
Wrote to DWP 3 weeks ago, asking them when I would received my award for enhanced rate and any backpay.
I have still not heard anything back from DWP, is there a limit to how long I have to wait to received information and backpay from DWP.
What steps should i take next
Thanks for advice

Hi AF,

It often takes DWP 6-8 weeks to respond to the decision and get payments started. Back payments usually arrive separately from the regular payments.

Well that's answered a question I too, was wondering about so thanks for asking Aunts Fluffy and thanks for the answer Mrs. Hurtyback.

Having been told on the day of the tribunal that the panel had already emailed the decision to the DWP I thought it might still take them about a month to send me my letter and possibly even my back pay. Now I know it's bound to be quite a bit longer lol

I'm hoping to once again, get a motability car when I can so that I will have my little bit of independence back so that should I want to go anywhere, I won't have to look on the calendar and ask my husband if he needs it first as we've been car sharing since my car had to be returned.

I'm so pleased for you that you've also got back what you believe you deserve. I know it's such a HUGE relief for it all to be over and while my tribunal took place 5 days ago, I'm still not feeling totally back to normal or relaxed yet! Family and friends would argue that I'm never 'normal' at the best of times:whistle:

Kind regards,
Hippychick

So glad to hear everything went in your favour, it's just the long wait now to hear from DWP, if the shoe was on the other foot and we owed them money, the letter would have been sent the next day, giving us 1week to pay it all back.
Never mind, it is one way of saving up, might get it in time for xmas

Crikey Aunts Fluffy, I've just realized that your tribunal was way back on 29th June and you STILL haven't got your backpay!!!!!!! So, I don't think I'll be holding out too much hope of getting my this side of C*******s lol

Have you had any letter at all from DWP re the change in your PIP status though? I know that should I decide to go in for another car, I won't be able to even think about it until that official letter arrives even though I do have the print out of the panel's decision.

Sadly my fibro flare up and increased joint pains from my Sjogren's syndrome seem to be continuing even though my 'ordeal' was over a week ago tomorrow!

Kind regards,
Hippychick

Aunts Fluffy,

Are you still waiting? If so, I suggest you contact DWP and ask the reason for the delay.
