PIP -ATOS homevisit assessment query

given the recent B&W news stats regarding pip, i am resigned to having to appeal despite voluminous and up to date medical evidence, therefore how long do i have to wait for the internal review and how long approx. will the wait for a formal tribunal appeal be, and how/where do i lodge it please?

The Mandatory Reconsideration can take anything from a few days to several months. I would expect you to wait from 2 months upwards for the appeal. It is impossible to be more exact as timings can vary considerably.

I did not request a home assessment but did have one with ATOS. When I asked why the decision was to do home visit the lady said it was often just easier or quicker for ATOS to carry out home visit. There was no mention that it was in relation to considering my level of disability.
