I want to update this post as I hope it may help other users.

We finally have a result. After posting I had a couple of further lenghty calls with the DWP to chase up the medical report and to express my concerns about the assessment. I wrote bulletin points before phoning and then read them out. Their official stance was that I had to complain to the assessors, but they did note points. I made it very clear we would take an unfair decision to tribunal and I would be involving my MP.
The medical report arrived about five weeks after asessment and was riddled with understatement and inaccuracy. In particular in the mobility section which made no mention of my daughter's psychosis and records showing the police had found her in strange locations while being psychotic. It only mentioned she faints due to an eating disorder and recommended a descriptor worth two points.

Last week just over £1,000 arrived in my daughter's bank account from PIP. I wondered if it was a back payment, so she phoned to check. She previously has enchanced care only and now has enhanced mobilty as well. I gave her a list of questions, but she forgot to ask if the report had gone to audit, but I think it might have as the medical report recomendation has clearly been overridden. Woohoo for Benefits and work who made this outcome possible!

Can we get a copy of the decision maker's report to find out where the extra points came from?

If there has been a revised Decision then there should be a new Decision Letter which should also contain the revised reasons for the award.

If you have not received one then chase the DWP.

Hi Gordon,

We haven't had any decision letters only the medical report which was inaccurate and the medical assessor had only ticked a descriptor worth 2 points. This must have been overturned by the decision maker at the DWP.
