'' they can defer appointments if you are not well, but if you don't turn up without telling them, they will sanction your benefit. They can't take away your basic amount, but they can remove the top-up you received since you got put into WRAG. ''

can you confirm that this is true? I have not received a penny at all, they stopped the full payment. Thanks

It's out of date, it is now the Personal Allowance (£74) that is sanctioned, the WRAG component if payable, remains in payment.

''the WRAG component if payable, remains in payment.''

what determines if it is payable or not? Thanks

If the ESA claim was made after 3 April of this year then the ERAG component is no longer payable.

If you are receiving Income Related ESA and also receive other income then the WRAG component can be eroded by these payments.

the claim was certainly not made this year, it's older, and I have no other income or anything.

I have sent the MR requests even though I have not received the sanction letters and I have still been sanctioned. The letter has been sent yesterday, so they still have not received it.

Today I have received a letter from the Jobcentre advising that they are coming to visit me at my address. The letter says I need to phone them to tell them why I did not attend. I did so through letter. In other words, from now on I am only keeping communication in writing as I cannot even speak to these people, I have had enough and will have to solve problems in other ways (legally, etc)

Is the home visit a standard procedure? Thanks

by the way, I have been wondering if the home visit letter is actually a WRAG interview. It doesn't have 'mandatory' at the bottom, it reads 'VO appt'. It does not state what the purpose of the visit is. Any ideas? Thanks
