It may depend on what you mean by cancel, the Judge of your hearing may not accept your reasons for an adjournment, if they do then I don't think you go to the back of the queue but it may be some time before a new hearing is convened.

Hi Gordon

I have sent off my appeal a few weeks ago and was contacted by the courts to say they have informend the DWP and the DWP have to respond to my Appeal by 22nd March 2018,

This morning (12th march) I have received a text from the DWP which says the following

" we have received the written report of your PIP assessment, We will write to you once we have made a decision on your PIP, As a guide you should hear from us within 4 weeks,
You do not need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed"

Is this normal ? and is this their "response" to my appeal ?

Thanks
steven

I haven't seen a text being sent before but several members have reported receiving a "we have all the information..." letter from the DWP, to be honest we don't understand why these are being send as they have nothing to do with an appeal, the same would apply to your text.

The next stage to your appeal would be for you to receive a copy of the DWP's submission to the appeal and all of the documents used in the Decision. They have one month from the dat the date that the appeal was accepted to do this.

Thanks Gordon,

I phoned the DWP and they said they are reviewing the submission I sent to the courts (ssc1 is it ? ) as it cantains updated info from me,

I told them there is no different info to what they (the dwp) have already seen, The dwp said a case manager had spotted some ireglaraties in ATOS report so they are looking at it again, I will be contacted in the next week or so if they are going to change their decision on my PIP (no award) or if not I will receive the case file from them for my appeal,

All a bit strange really !
