Firstly, congrats on the outcome.
I'm at tribunal in couple of days, your description of being grilled is what makes me anxious. Was it a bad grilling so to speak, or just them asking slot of questions?

Hi, firstly I wish you lots of luck with your tribunal. I was very nervous & anxious when i went into the room, but the Judge, Disability expert & Doctor were very pleasant. They have to stick to the important stuff so don't let you deviate. Yes, they asked me very specific, detailed questions about my mobility and how far I had walked to get to the room, had i needed to stop, how many times had I stopped, how long for, even which lift I had taken in the court building. I actually thought they were going to check the bulkdings cctv! But they diidn't. I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my back and the Doctor knew all about them and asked me lots of questions about it, again quite specific, but I just told them the truth & they had read all the medical evidence I supplied with my 'grounds for appeal'. After about 45 mins I was asked to leave the room and seconds later they called me back in & gave me the outcome. I was so relieved it was over (after 14months of worry) I just burst into tears! Relief & Joy!

Hi, my appeal is in 2 weeks' time. From failed MR letter to appeal hearing date is 4 weeks. However, I did tick the box that said 'cancellations'. I do live in Scotland though.

For those in my area (Blac , for a Tribunal hearing datekpool/Fleetwood) I am still waiting since my application for tribunal since April 2017. It is now Feb 2018, the 44th week of waiting. It does your head in, like a ticking time bomb. Even if I get a date soon, it will be a few more weeks to wait from the letter date so we are heading towards 12 months!. Wonder if I'll break the record...

Aha, at last...got my appeal date letter! Just when I was starting to think I'd got lost in the system somehow, or I'd upset someone when I called the offices...my hearing date is 13 March, (not a Friday thank goodness lol) I have to be there by 10.45. A month to prepare, I hope for a good result and I'll keep you all informed. Although Ive not yet had the actual hearing, its some weight off my mind; the wait was starting to get me down, but things are moving now :-). Thank you to all who have tried to help and cheer me up so far!

Hi Jeff,
I am really pleased to hear that you have (at last!) got your date. I fully understand how you felt, thinking you had been 'lost in the system'. I wish you lots of luck with your appeal. Just follow the guidelines given in the guides on this website and at your appeal concentrate on the things you dispute with the DWP.
Again, very best wishes and please let us know how you get on.

Josephine
