Can someone please help me I have now had my dla stopped due to scoring no points on PIP assessment I am
Agoraphobic, depression and anxiety with ptsd all assessed by psychiatrists I had
My gp send a letter for a home visit refused so attended medical I was crying I was recently diagnosed with stenosis of the spine and degenerative disc disease I can’t sit stand or lay for long can’t walk more than 50 feet on level ground without severe pain am awaiting surgery the lady at medical told
Me
To put illness to one side and asked if I could
Do this I answered yes as if I didn’t have the illness I would be able to do all these things I am at a loss and need help as I am furious she asked if I could go to the shops I said yes but I don’t all shopping is done online she then again told
Me to put illness to one side so I said yes but my daughter goes to shop I do NOT go out alone now I am worried about my ESA I had an epidural done on Thursday under general anaesthetic and have now been told because I went to Hospital I am not agoraphobic it is unrealistic for them to expect Hospital to set up an operating theatre in my front room I now have a medical coming up for ESA currently in support group due to mental health issues alone now they have stopped dla low rate due to failing medical for PIP now I’m worried I am going to have same problem with ESA as if I attend they will say I am
Not agoraphobic they are sending a taxi but I am already getting anxious I also have PTSD

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

They may use the PIP report for your ESA reassessment but it would be unusual as the criteria for the two benefits are quite different.

Our ESA Claim guide has a section that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

If you want to challenge the PIP Decision then the first stage to doing so is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.

Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;

"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"

than their opinions

"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.

When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.

Me in and out of bath does all the cooking does my medication helps me dress and she scored me no points so I’m not sure who she was listening to coz it certainly wasn’t me her assessment says in her opinion I can walk 200 metres I’m lucky if I can walk fifty feet and that’s on a good day 90mg of morphine plus oramorph and pregablin plus antidepressants should tell her I am actually ill plus the cervical epidural which is a surgical procedure and can’t be done in my front room but now coz I went to the hospital they are saying I don’t have agoraphobias coz I went to a hospital appt well I went with someone as I don’t EVER leave the house alone so I always have someone with me because if I get anxious and feel out of control I lash out and get aggressive and have been known to be violent

You can try for a home assessment but you will need your GP to write to Maximus explaining why you cannot attend at their offices, if one is not offered then you must attend the current appointment of you risk your claim being closed.

Go back to the PIP Claim guide

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

The first thing to do is to check that you have explained your limitations in order to show that you meet the criteria to score points.
