You need to understand these people are working to a standard process with little if any opportunity for them to make their own decisions.

Send it to the assessment centre as that is where his file is and where any decision for a home assessment or Paper Based Revision will be made.

If the requirement for your husband to attend at their offices is not removed before the appointment and he does not attend then they will send his file back to the DWP and whilst it may be possible to resolve the matter in his favour, it could take months to do so.

ok will post it tomorrow ,Atos have seen the gp letter now the dwp have put it on the system even though they had a copy anyway that they couldnt use as i had sent it directly to them,They are now apparently doing a review of my review which will take 48 hrs to see whether to decide my husbands case on paper or at an assessment centre,it is apparently with 3rd hp.They requested i phone on saturday if they have not phoned me with a decision,I dont know what game they are playing [if any]. Will post gp letter to third destination tomorrow thanks

Hi just had phone call from atos saying my husband must attend face to face on tuesday,This is despite gp letter stating it wouldbe a serious risk to his mental health and saying there is no way he could get there.I know i wont get him there even if heavily medicated.I can cancel this appt as it would be first one any ideas please on what i can do to reverse their decision ,MP letter any advice appreciated please, his doctor also mentioned his long term agoraphobia and previous mental health team visits plus lots more ,im at my wits end. thanks in advance

From a previous post you said that ATOS are treating the previous cancelled appointment as being your responsibility, if this is the case then you cannot cancel this appointment or move it without your husbands file being returned to the DWP for failing to attend.

Their decision to require an assessment at their offices is not an appealable Decision.

If you have not already involved your MP then you should do, although you will need to manage anything that they might be able to do because of the timescales.

Contacting your MP

Would a taxi to and from ATOS's office work, they may agree to fund one?

when i told them i hAd taped evidence atos backtracked and admitted they had cancelled original assessment,They offered taxi but my husband wont get in one .Have spoke to different gp from surgery as mine is not on duty this week and he has agreed to phone atos to ask why they are ignoring his colleagues letter.Im awaiting his reply FINGERS CROSSED.

another letter has been sent by different gp to atos after they first gave false fax number to gp then told me they didnt have a fax number,The reason i was given today for them needing to see my husband is for a muscular skeletal observation which takes one to two minutes and has been done by his physio less than a month ago details of which have been sent and received by them.Are this company for real i can see why they are pushing people over the edge,the saga continues
