TOPIC: HP Assessment

HP Assessment 8 months 2 weeks ago #205731

Hi, could you tell me when you can request a copy of the HP assessment report? . I thought I had read before that it could be requested a few days after the assessment. I rang the dwp today after my assessment at home on the 24/1 .I ask when I could request it and was told not until the decision has been made? I am in NI, is this correct ? ThankYou.

SMcF

PIP reports should be available a couple of days after the assessment.

For ESA, the DWP have historically refused to send the report until a Decision has been made although there is no legal reason why it should not be provided earlier.

If you request was for PIP, try phoning again, a different call responder may order the report for you.

Hi , I am also in NI and was told the same thing, rang the next day and a different adviser told me no assessment report will be sent till a decision is made, which I thought was rather unfair

Smcf, I am from N Ireland and was unable to get the assessment report until decision had been made. Tried calling a few times and they just kept saying not til decision had been made. Decision went in our favour however I was v concerned that if we'd needed MR we prob wouldn't have had time for assessment report to arrive. Decision letter took a week to arrive. Keep phoning weekly to check on decision and ask each time for report so that your request is in asap as I've heard of people not receiving it after requesting it numerous times. Also maybe consider putting your request in for it in writing.

I had mine on a Thursday and I phoned the DWP on the following Wednesday. They said they had the report and would send me a copy.

Hi, sorry yes I should have been clearer. It was for my PIP assessment report. It seems in NI a lot of people are being told the same thing. I was wanting the report ASAP just to check what the assessor has said and be prepared. Was told by the assessor that decision is usually 2-4 weeks but to expect a wait of about 8 weeks . I will maybe leave it another few days and ring again. Thanks everyone
