heip required please

my son 15 got both lower elements of dla last year. the renewal came through this year and we set it back. this morning a letter arrived saying he would not get any dla for both elements ,
there decision was based on "what we put on the renewal form" (basically the same as last years successfull award)and also "" a report that we included "(from the cams mental service which does say he has ptsd stress and anxiety.) any advice please

Have a look at our DLA resources for help with challenging the Decision

Your post suggests that he was reassessed a year ago, whilst it's unlikely are then any issues that a 14 year old might be expected as having that a 15 year old would not?

How old is he exactly? He would have been invited to claim PIP when he reached 16, if it is close then it might be worth looking at the criteria to see if it is a better fir

he was 14 when he was first awarded dla both elements at the lower rates. he is 15 now and will be 16 in august 2018.
the 2 reasons given not to award anything says
1 the information from your renewal claim form
2 a medical report that i included with the renewal claim form
yet the information given was almost the same (as we had copies of the f first application last year that he was awarded on both elements at the lower rate for both.)
nothing has changed with his condition and since last year he is now under the cams service which is the childrens nhs mental health team and we are awaiting a report and his cbt therapy is due to start at the end of march
do we write asking for a MR and include basically what i have said above
and give some reasons or just say please reconsider without a explanation

many thanks

DLA for children can be difficult as there are two requirements that need to be met, first you must show that he has care and/or mobility needs and secondly that these are reasonably more than a healthy child of the same age would require.

You mention several conditions in your first post, how do they manifest themselves? For example for Lower Mobility I would expect him to be unable to go out on his own, is this the case?
