DLA to pip was created by Debs123
On my DLA form 15 years ago I tick box 20 to 50 mobility. But due to further problems and 15 years on I only go from front door to car and out of car to appointment, so I know my walk has deterated over the years. Durring assessment they recorded I walked 16 meters with abnormal gait and husband's support and stick to assessment room. Plus they googled distance from taxi rank to assessment building which my husband checked out was 50 yards took 10 mins and 2 rests. So I did not walk over 20 meters at any point. Should I have ticked 1 to 20 is it to late or could I put it in MR,

Have you received a Decision yet?

What did you actually tick on the PIP2 form?

You must be able to walk the distance you tick, reliably and on the majority of days.

If you ticked 20m-50m then it is going to be difficult for you to argue that your walking is more restricted but not impossible. To do so you are going to explain why your walking is more restricted than you stated!

I note from your previous post you had problems walking from the taxi rank, so you may be argue that you misunderstood the reliably requirements but you will need to show that your walking is restricted to less than 20m and this typically means that you need to have problems moving around your house as well.

I'm so confused I have nerve pain constantly and when putting weight on my ankle walking, pains can shoot through my leg of foot . With out problems with my opersite knee and ankle due to taking all my weight when standing , and my husband said in got mix up with ft/yards and meters. I'm so dispy. Is walking 50 meters with 2 stops in approximately 10+ minutes a reasonable time ? How long would it take an able body, what do they use to work this out. Oh dear
