Debs

I'm afraid you have misread the announcement, when it is implemented, which it has not yet it will only effect claimants with an On-Going award, there is no intention to extend shorter awards.

Is there an chance of them extending length of award if I rang to ask why it wasn't extended as they decided to give enchanted on both and stop appeal. Would this go against me on next review , or would I have to write and appeal and go through all the messing about. Should I leave it alone . I have diabetes, chronic nerve pain neither will get any better only ever get deteriate over time

Your only option for extending the award is to request a new appeal, the DWP is not going to revise their Decision again.

Only you can make the decision to pursue this further. Very few members have challenged the award length at all and the success rate where the award itself is not being challenged is very poor.

Hi Gordon
Can you expail the difference in AR1 form and AR2. On my first award it was from 18 to 21 and they would get in touch in march 20. On the reconsideration award they gave enhanced both still from 18 to 21 but will contact 14 weeks I'm a little confused. Can you explain in simple text for simple me please. Thankyou

I'm not sure what you mean by an AR2, at this time there is no such form, can you explain further?

If you have received a three-year award then the DWP should contact you one year in advance of the award ending in 2020. Their own guidance does not allow renewal 14 weeks before the award ends if the award is for more then two years.
