FORM ESA 113 for the GP To Fill In.......

My GP phoned me when she received an ESA113 to complete for me on IB to ESA Migration. She could not have been more helpful, understanding and empathetic.I feel that whatever she wrote must have had a big influence as I was put in the Support Group. I would say if you don't have confidence that your GP is 'on your side' find someone who is if you can.

I'm afraid it's a whole surgery approach where I live but only for ESA.

They are much more willing to help for DLA.

yes your right.

It seems to differ so much up and down the country re- to help and support and everything.

I showed my Psychologist the print out from Derek from the ATOS guidance handbook this afternoon(re GPs etc).

She went red in the face no joking, she was blazing. Stormed off.

I told her I was contacting my local MP.

Was away for 10 mins but she didnt say anything.

Ita a lottery it really is in my opinion.

Well, it is hit and miss with GP's. I was tolf with the mental health register with the GP is was because of government guidelines, that the government make sure they are giving people with mental health problems the correct treatment, it is the same for say asthma, diabetes heart problems, blood pressure and the like. I think the GP's get swamped with so much they haven't the time they would like to spend with patients and paperwork. Perhaps getting hold of our medical notes and copying what we need is one way forward if they won;t supply letters or fill out the esa 113p roperly. Why was the psychologist so upset when you showed the atos guidelines?

re to my psychologist and ATOS guidelines.

i think it was because she felt she was being grouped in with my GP and hospital clinicians, in that document.

lets face it id be the same if some book keeper tried to tell me how to do my job as a management accountant/ economist.

like ive said all along its a lottery and i worked for the DHSS during Maggies time. 10 years in fact.

Incapacity benefit became a problem first starting then. Claimant were transfered from dole to IB. Why?????? think about it.
