do you only need sick notes to be sent in for new claims

what if you were transferring from Is and hadnt actually had to send in sick notes for a very long time, last time i didnt have to send in any while waiting on an appeal while under Is ,would i have to do so now if i had to appeal?

You are not required to send in Fit notes while you are being transferred, as you are still entitled to your current benefit, however, should you need to appeal, then you would need to provide Fit notes until your hearing is held.

The Fit note can be sent with the GL24, but does not have to be, however, payment of the ESA Assessment rate will not be made until it is received.

The Fit note needs to cover the period from the date on the Decison letter, or the date that the benefit is being stopped from, if different.
