Hiya,
Trying to get the correct words for appeal from WRAG to Support group is difficult.
I have managed to get the following , it is abridged to hide to personal things.
Retired due to accident at work from 1999 and placed on IB. married in 2005, later had to give up running the farm to look after his wife as he is principal carer. Wife’s condition deteriorates over time and DLA enhanced to high rate in both care and mobility for life.
Appealing against decision to be placed in WRAG so as to be placed into Support Group.
Pt confined to a chair in which she sleeps, as cannot get upstairs any more, she is unable to propel herself in a wheelchair and has to be pushed by someone. I am writing in support of her appeal to be placed in support group as she is clearly unable to work in any capacity at all.
Does anyone think this wordage will suffice as help cover the main descriptors for being placed in support group . I do very much hope so.

Please someone, give me an indicator on what they think re the above.
No answers make me feel as though I am on a mega sticky wicket, or as per norm waiting to hear from ATOS etc.

I would recommend you be specific in referencing the ESA descriptors and why you are able to give testimony, for example;
I care for the claimant and I am with them on average 24 hours a day, only leaving them when I do the shopping and/or collect prescriptions.
I do no believe that the claimant is able to walk or self propel a wheelchair for more than 100 metres because of pain and exhaustion, having done so they need at least an hour to recover before they could attempt this activity again.
Based on my observation, the claimant suffers from this limitation every day without exception.

yep many thanks.
I do not think I will be able to get the letter changed as it was written by my MP and although he knows me quite well as I worked as a researcher for the HOC/HOL and he helped us leave the tenanted farm, I think I would be pushing it asking him to chane it. So I suppose it will have to do. Many thanks
