Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'm sorry that your ESA claim is dragging on like this. As you have discovered, there are still considerable delays in some areas!
Was August the last time anyone contacted Capita? If so, it would be worth trying again. It is unlikely that they are still awaiting a reply from your GP - but if they are you might be able to hurry things along from your end.
The other thing that sometimes helps is to get your MP on board

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions and comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it makes things easier for us - and I hope you will find it useful too

They will consider the use of a wheelchair and if you have not supplied evidence that you cannot self-propel one they will assume that you can, so if the your GP is prepared to comment on this then I would definitely take up the offer.
