P.I.P. Claim started in March 2014,on behalf of my son who is a young adult with Autism, having missed the renewal date i had to start again with a new claim for PIP,i patiently waited knowing their was very little i could do to improve the situation.9 months later i had a letter for a face to face which i had hoped to avoid but as my son has very little paper work,i knew deep down that it was a necessary evil we would both have to cope with, having worked myself up into such a state to the point of not actually going,we arrived at the appointment, sitting in the waiting room a women came from one of the rooms to get a glass of water!! whilst having a good look at my son.Once the appointment started which was basically going over some of the questions we left after 10 minutes. She could clearly see that he has severe autism,i think the face to face in my case was just to prove identity and visually see his disability more than anything else. This brought us to mid December so did not expect anything till the new year, but Christmas Eve morning the Brown Envelope landed on the floor,i debated whether to open it half the day as i didn't want xmas spoiled, but to my pleasure my son is awarded Enhanced Care and Mobility which is higher than his DLA award.I could not imagine getting this award without the help of your excellent sight and must give many many thanks.xx

Hi,

If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.

This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

That is really good news !! :cheer:

Thank you for your very kind comments regarding B&W, they are much appreciated !! :)

Happy New Year !!! :)
