Thank you Gordon,

I was in such a state of anxiety after you response above, that I phoned the DWP myself, carefully recording the conversation, asked for an MR which the guy I spoke to registered my request and I then promptly sent a letter form of the MR request, using Benefits & Works template for such, and posted it off First Class recorded delivery.

Still have not heard from the CAB about the help they were going to give me to complete the MR and now worried that in completing my own MR, that the CAB will conclude that I do not require their help. If, as expected I get no change on the MR and I have no one to represent me at the ensuing Tribunal, where can I go for representation?

The CAB did imply that if I did the MR request myself , then they will not represent me in the Tribunal. Now I am feeling very worried as my mental health issues stop me functioning in a situation like a court environment, I get brain fog, due to the anxiety and do not feel competent to represent myself. I am fine at home on the computer, but in any situation were I am the focus of others attention, or have to speak I generally get into a state and have to flee from the room.

The Mental Health Advocacy person I took with me to the f2f HP assessment was useless, She never said a word, put down the barest minimum details and did not stress the important descriptors, that I explained to the HP, and that would have got the right points, and also I have been told that they ( the Advocacy service) do not represent anyone at a Tribunal.
Can you suggest anyone else who is allowed to help me, and represent me for the tribunal?. I do not have a community care nurse, and live mostly as a hermit, so its very difficult to approach organisations.
The CAB seemed ideal but they really let me down in not helping me get the MR done, and I assume they have not appointed me a Welfare Officer yet. I have lost confidence in them.

All you have done is request the MR, you haven't gone into detail as to why you have done so, so there shouldn't be any reason why the CAB cannot help you, assuming that they ever get back to you!

If you want to find additional/replacement support then do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

If you have to go it alone, then you should go through your PIP2 form, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria to score points and if you have not done this, to re-explain why you do.

Thank you Gordon. I have still not heard from the CAB. I am amazed at this as they know full well that I suffer with anxiety and depression and this lack of communication from them as made me worse. I have actually lost two stone in weight withj all the worry of being bumped off Indefinite DLA higher rate care component and standard mobility for the past 12 years and no at the age of 60 to find myself on only the standard rate care component and £200 worse off per month. I am having to borrow money from a friend monthly now to make ends meet. Is n't this a terrible state of affairs what this government have done to disable and sick people. there's is no compassion or empathy. Nothing more than Disability Discrimination. Made even worse for those that live alone with no family or friends to help them, many finding they are penniless and having to claim food stamps. No opposition party seems to be making efforts to represent the Disabled in their plight I am surprise that no -one has tried to take the Govn. to court over the illegalities of the PIP system, and now we are not part of Europe we cannot appeal to European Court of Human Rights!

It's ok, the EU is nothing to do with the European Court of Human Rights - same continent, different organisation

I requested an MR and posted recorded delivery request at the same time this was on the 5th June. I received a text 2 or 3 days afterwards saying that they had my MR request, but to date I have heard nothing more. How long should I wait before I contact them?
