TOPIC: Capita pip 2nd home visit

Capita pip 2nd home visit 3 weeks 10 hours ago #173881

I had a capita home visit 2 weeks ago regarding my broken leg and fractured ankle which has resulted in me losing my job with RoyalMail due to not being capable of doing the job.aThis happened in January 2016 and at present I am not walking hardly due to the nature of the injury,I have been assessed by the industrial injuries Doctor as 30% loss of faculty until November 2017 albeit provisional. My Question is Capita rang today to say they had some further evidence and to give my claim a fair assessment they would have to re-visit me again.Just wondering if anyone has come across this situation and could enlighten me as to what this means.. Regards Chris

I'm afraid we don't advise on IIDB, perhaps some of the members who receive this benefit can help.

Sorry being new to this I forgot to say that the capita 2nd reassessment was for PIP .The IIDB is fine.I was wondering the reason maybe for a 2nd assessment due to further medical evidence. Regards Chris

IIDB and PIP have completely separate criteria, having an award of one does not imply an award of the other, although you might use an IIDB report to support your PIP claim I have not seen the DWP do so.

Chris,

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused  Are you saying that this will be a second visit in relation to your PIP?

Sorry I was trying to outline my situation but ended up complicating it.Yes the IIDB is fine and and dandy,I had my Original assessment 2weeks ago and today got a phone call from Capita saying that due to some further medical evidence that they would need to see me again to give my case a fair assessment.I was wondering is this the normal thing to do when they get further medical evidence or am I reading into it the wrong way?
