It's usually to the claimants advantage if the assessor writes to their doctors, you might want to contact your GP and see whether they want discuss the assessor's questions before they reply to the request.

Without an understanding of the conversation anything we cam up with would be a guess.

There are reasons, as part of the assessment process, for them to contact your GP. A responsible assessors who had concerns about your health might also want to contact your GP to make sure that you receive the support that you need.

I don't think in either case that it is a bad thing.
