Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
There is no set deadline to get information in - it depends entirely on how long it takes for your file to reach the top of the pile!
I suggest that you send a copy to the assessment provider (this will be either Capita or ATOS, depending on your postcode) and also take a copy with you to give the assessor if you are required to attend a face2face appointment.
www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/upl...pip-postcode-map.pdf
If you wish, you can also send a copy to the DWP. Mark it FAO Decision Maker and send it to the address on the first letter you were sent about PIP.
Only send in copies, keep the original for you own files, and make sure that your name and NI number is clearly marked on each sheet.
May I suggest that you favourite/bookmark this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too

I sent back my pip form two weeks ago today. I sent it special delivery and have received a letter from atos today. They say they are asking one or more of my doctors for more info. This could be a disaster as I recently remembered I answered "no" when my GP asked me if I needed any help at home as I thought they meant did I need help from social services. Do you think atos can decide to say no to a claim without offering me a ftf? Kind regards, Rosiegi.

Hi Rosiegi,
It would be worth contacting your GP surgery and asking them to contact you before filling in any forms regarding your PIP.
Unlike the situation with ESA, PIP claimants do not have to be seen face2face before a negative decision is made.
