PIP renewal was created by Franco
Hi I have received the renewal pip form due April 17, I originally applied 2014, received high rate mobility low rate care; for three years, in 2015 back dated. I have bile duct cancer spread to liver and lungs, I no longer work. I did not have a medical interview, my condition has remained very much the same, except for the care element, and I continue with chemotherapy, do I have to go through all that form which for me is a night mare !! or is there an alterntive ? as I say I did not have to be interviewed, if I fill in the current form do you think I will have to have a medical interview ? thank Franco

It depends on the form that you have received.

If it is a PIP2 (1003) then you need to complete it in full and treat it as a new claim, submitting evidence as you can even if you have previously sent it in.

If it is an AR1 (1004) then you only need to explain the changes that have occurred since you were last assessed.

Both forms are covered in the PIP Claim guide.

It's impossible to say whether you will have a face to face assessment, the decision on whether this is required or not is dependent on the information you supply in and with the form.
