Appeal for dla

Hi thanks for reply. I followed the step by step guide on here when filling out my application. I wrote about how my conditions affect me and the support I need from my husband who offers help by prompting and encouraging me as my motivation is poor. I also can't face social settings due to my anxiety and panic. My GP report backs up that I do have severe depression and anxiety and I am very bad at night time also but she has not stated how this affects me in terms of my daily needs and the help I get from my husband as I hav never discussed what help my husband gives me as she treats my conditions and he provides care and support. I sent a statement from my husband as he would no best how much help that I need and what care he provides. They hav not mentioned lookin at his supporting evidence. I'm from northern Ireland so that's reason still DLA.

HIi, I have been turned down for my dla in July this year ehich was a renewal claim. I asked for a reconsideration. They have not changed their decision so I am going to appeal it. I am from Northern Ireland so it has not changed to PIP yet. Please could you tell me roughly how long it takes for an appeal hearing and what would my chances be of being successful. I was getting dla for severe depression and anxiety. Thankyou

I'm afraid I have no idea how long appeals are currently taking to be herd in NI. It is possible that members might be able to answer from their own experience (although we don't have that many who have been through the NI tribunal system).

Hi i have lodge an appeal today by post for my dla (i am living in northern ireland). My dla was up for renewal in june that is why it had not changed to PIP. It was turned down so I asked for a mandatory reconsideration which they still did not change decision. I have now applied for an appeal. Please can you tell me does my dla be reinstated until I attend my appeal hearing? My last payment of dla was in June?

As to your query - I'm afraid that you will not get any more DLA payments until/unless a decision is made to re-instate it.

You can apply for PIP now if you wish, while your DLA tribunal is heard - but I must warn you that if (for example) the tribunal gave you high rate DLA but you were refused PIP, the DLA would only be paid up to the PIP decision comes into effect.
