Even if she has a taxi is too short notice and she still needs a companion. Please tell us what we can do
The Tribunal Service is required to give 14 days notice of a hearing unless both parties waive their right to this period or there are matter of such urgency that a short notice hearing would be appropriate. This includes postage time.
If your daughter has not been given the required notice and she did not waive her rights to the normal period then she needs to contact the Clerk of the Court for the venue and ask for it to be re-scheduled to a date where adequate notice can be given. Failing that then she needs ask for the hearing to be adjourned to a time that she can travel to the venue without problem.

Do the Tribunal Service ever contact claimants and offer them an early date perhaps if the Service has a cancellation?

i had my tribunal few months back , and they also changed my date forward in which was less than 2 weeks notice,i hadnt had time to write t them to ask for a taxi ,,but i rang the tribunal courts up and explained the dates had been changed and she arranged a taxi for me without me having to request, after the call ended i then had a call from another department saying the taxi had been arranged to pick me up and take me home ,, give them a ring and explain your circumstances and maybe than can d the same for you ,,. if not ide ask for another date as they have not given you the 14 days notice anyway so it there fault ,., good luck for the tribunal and hope it succesfull for your daughter ,,
