Hi
My son received his ESA Appeal confirmation from the Tribunal Service today.
My son was receiving ESA for about 2 years before he was reassessed. He is now signing on again for JSA (as his 13 week period FIT Note has ended).
Should my son now ring the DWP and ask to be put back on ESA?
Will this be at the full rate he was on previously?
Will he need a new FIT Note from his doctor?
We didn't say anything in the Appeal about him signing on for JSA and wanting to go back on ESA, should we have said this on the appeal papers?
Many thanks

Elie
I would give it a couple of days so maybe Monday or Tuesday next week, it can take a few days for the TS letter to reach the right department.
He'll be paid the ESA Assessment rate while he waits for a hearing.
He will need to provide a new Fit Note and maintain an active Note on file in order to receive payment.
It doesn't matter whether he claimed JSA or not so don't worry that you did not mention it.

It's £73.10 if he is over 25 and £57.90 if he is under 25.

If you mean the Disability Premium, then no this is not payable with ESA but is with JSA.
If you mean the Enhanced Disability Premium or the Severe Disability Premium then yes.
