short notice medical assesment was created by HerbalElf
Dreaded Letter dated 30 Jan dropped today wed 1st feb, they want to see me Tues 7th feb.. 4 working days time!
I had stated at the back of the esa form that i would be unavailable during the certain dates my support is unable to accompany me to the interview
Lo & behold they have not acknowledge my directions & scehduled me on the 1st day my support is on holiday
I am phoning the Lisson Grove office Thur2nd Feb to explain that
1) i have it in writing that im unavailable on 7 feb
2) I need to re arrange.& postponed a month till my support returns 1st week of march
Im guessing they will not admit its their mistake & i will be one strike down as unavailable to make said interview...
I would appreciate some tips and guidance anyone may have before i call to rearrange.
THankyou
Any help & advice welcome

Have your diary available so that you can make a new appointment while on the phone, if don't then they will simply pick the next available date they have.
Make it clear that that this is their fault and you notified them of days that you were unavailable. Make it clear that you will be informing the DWP of their error.
Write to the DWP explaining what has happened.

I had a text on the Thursday for assessment on the Monday I'm sure they do it deliberately although I rang to complain I still went to get it over with. Compassion isn't part of this system I'm afraid. Good luck hope you get it sorted out ok.

Hi Gordon Thankyou for the advice.
I called the appointment centre today and when she accessed my details she clearly sawI had been sent a generated computer letter as she could see i had stated the unavailabie dates which were on a screen in front of her.
She told me it was their error and would amend my record to state that it was an admin error, when i said id be notifying the DWP, she confirmed she would add to my record it was their fault.
I rearranged and took her 1st date in March.
Now i have to jump into action with my GP surgery & request doctors report to take along to the face to face.
It was a polite amenable efficient telephone exchange & the lady was very reassuring & helpful.
