DLA TO PIP was created by JJ

I've been on DLA for 10 years. DWP received my claim to apply for PIP just over 6 weeks ago.
As of yet I have not heard any thing back so my daughter rang them yesterday and the reply was " the assessors have it and when they reach a decision they would let me know"
Does anyone know how long this can take?
Does everyone have to go for a f2f... I did not the 2nd time when my DLA was running out, I still made a claim and I only waited 2 weeks for a reply telling me of my award.

Sorry if Iv done this post wrong, it's my 1st and I'm trying to find my way around.

Contact the Assessment Provider for an update.

Six weeks without contact is longer that we would expect.

The majority of claimants will have to have a face to face, the criteria for PIP are very different from those for DLA.
